Research and publications

Chris Khoo has produced a large number of publications in scientific journals, and contributed chapters in textbooks, teaching videos, CDs, and DVDs.

He reviews for leading journals concerned with Hand Surgery, Breast Surgery, and general Plastic Surgery. He is a member of the Board of the Journal of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. He is passionate about teaching and has organised and continues to be involved in National and International meetings in Plastic Surgery, and instructional Courses in Hand Surgery and Breast Surgery.

He has lectured, instructed, and been a member of Faculty at Advanced Courses in Plastic Surgery and Hand Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons, and participated in the Scientific Meetings of the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons.

Chris has been instrumental in developing the Aesthetic Surgery Tutorship of the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons, in conjunction with the Royal College of Surgeons of England as a means of supporting training and the development of expertise in cosmetic surgery in the UK, and is currently Chairman.

In recent years he has been invited to lecture both in the UK and abroad – including International Plastic Surgery meetings in India, Greece and Turkey, and the Virgin Islands Plastic Surgery Workshop, the University of Naples, Groningen University Hospital, the Netherlands, the University of Singapore, the Hong Kong Association of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, the Semmelweiss Institute, Budapest, the previous European Courses in Plastic Surgery in Genoa 2004 and Dublin 2005. For many years he organised surgical workshops at Wexham Park Hospital and he has taken part in live operative surgery teaching at Masterclasses and instructional meetings.
